Hey friends, I’m Trang, chemical engineer by day and food blogger by night, published author and an avid reader. I love nothing more than an excuse to whip up some delicious baked goods to share with the people I care about, including you. Welcome to my blog!

How it all started…
My coworker gave me his 150-year-old sourdough starter one year just for safekeeping in case he accidentally kills his. It sat in my second fridge for some time. At this point, my husband was the only one in the home baking with a sourdough starter, he keeps his own by the way. Then one day, I decided I was going to start a second blog, and that was that!
Here are some personal favorites
These recipes are from my other blog, but they are some of my favorite fluffy bakes!
- Pani Popo (Samoan Coconut Buns) – I first had these at a Hawaiian festival, I was hooked ever since!
- Chinese Bakery Inspired Coconut Buns – growing up, I eat these alllll the time, still do to this day.
- Miso Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns – the miso makes all the difference.
What can you expect
You will find mostly enriched sourdough bread like milk bread and cinnamon rolls and sourdough discard recipes on this blog with a few recipes using commercial yeast to shorten fermentation time. You won’t find traditional artisan sourdough loaves here at this time. I think there are a lot of bloggers who provide excellent artisan sourdough recipes already so you don’t need to learn it from me.
Where else you can find me
You can find me baking tropical and Asian-inspired desserts on my other blog Wild Wild Whisk, which was a finalist for the Saveur Blog Awards 2018.
I’ve also written for larger publications such as The Recipe Critic.
I’m here for you!
If you have any questions or just want to share your success in the kitchen, I would love to hear from you. You can email me. I can’t wait to chat with you. And most of all thank you for being here, I hope this blog can be a place of inspiration for you and can make your day a little sweeter!
